We had our first detailed Operations meeting today. Present at the meeting was Pen, Martin, Ann, Ian, Dom, Clive, Gaby and myself.

Discussions centered around the location of the Pre-Expedition Trials, to be held in January, the transect line for the Survey itself, logistical and air support and kit, clothing and equipment.

The best news however is that it’s been decided that I’ll be accompanying the Ice Team, Simon and Ian up to the Arctic in January…best dig out my thermal underwear!
