Although the Ice Team are now back in the UK and the expedition phase has come to an end, the project itself is still far from over, and there is an inordinate amount of work still to do.
Whilst the Ice Team themselves continue to give media interviews, catch up with their lives, and attempt to take some much-deserved rest, the Ops team begin the process of tying up all operational loose ends.
All of the equipment (including skis, sledges and science kit) needs to be freighted back to the UK; drums still need to be retrieved from the fuel cache, just as soon as there is a break in the weather; all technology needs to be analysed for points of failure; all images and video need to be catalogued; the science findings report still needs to be written; countless thankyous need to be said; and numerous other jobs need to be completed over the next few months.
The website will no longer be updated on a daily basis, at least in the short term, but we will still be adding information on a reasonably regular basis, so do check back to see how the project is progressing.
