Green Guardian

The largest environmental awareness campaign in South London, the Green Guardian initiative is a unique partnership between Newsquest South London, the leading media company in the area, south London borough councils and commercial businesses and organisations.

Launched in 2006, the aim of the initiative is to provide environmental news and information through Newsquest South London’s paper titles and websites. The Sick Children's Trust

The Sick Children's Trust provides free �?Home from Home’ accommodation at major hospitals around the country for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment. They exist to support and promote the child's recovery and further to support the fabric and well being of the family as a whole. There is a growing demand for the �?Homes from Home’ as children must increasingly travel long distances to get the specialist treatment they need; to date they have helped more than 30,000 families. To run the 'Homes from Home' they rely entirely on voluntary donations; and need to raise nearly £1million this year to keep them open. In essence, The Sick Children’s Trust ensures that the very basic of all medicines has a chance to work; family love and support.
